We're being required to hunt with non-toxic (not lead) here in California. For older guns, ITX and Nice Shot appear to be the only alternatives. BPI lists some .410 3" loading the their latest ITX reloading manual. These are tungsten matrix spheres and much softer than steel. I was wondering if anyone here had tried reloading ITX for the .410?

Hi guys,
the good news is that I'm back to placing various bits and pieces that I've written on the .410 site.
There is something going on possibly today as well as some upcoming Christmas stuff and a host of Trap Shooting USA and Clay Shooting USA stuff that may be useful for .410 and all small gauge shooters who check out the site.
The site has looked a bit dormant of late due to a host of issues that have gotten in the way, but it's now back in action.
Best regards
Tim W

PS There will shortly be special Christmas deals on my .410 books, I can supply them directly via paypal on ebay if this is preferable.

For those who have heard or read about some of my small comments or old ads,I am Doug Slug...I am still reloading and experimenting with .410 slugs and any .410 project I can conjure up. I have been away for a long time doing a new business and I now have even more time to load and do my favorite thing.

Hi from Somerset - I am a Section 5 dealer and am looking to buy .410 pistols, either single barrel or double barrels, as long as the guns are in good condition. I have tried all my local dealers without success.

Many thanks

Some years ago, I contacted fourten.org.uk and told of a project I was contemplating......
......now I am active on it and it is progressing at a pace!

I am converting a 'retired' LeeLoadAll to a rudimentary but very effective .410 press!
If someone can tell me how to post pics, I will do it.
Regards,
Alan, aged 67. (Ammunition Technician)

I have a .410 it has italian proof marks for 12mm x 70mm. I have never seen 410 ammo in 70mm

Admin reply: Oops. I misread your question. I have never seen 2 3/4 inch .410s, but a few years back, a couple of big name makers used shorter than average 3 inch cases. Those I measured were nearer 2 7/8 inches. Also, the aluminum shells used in the USAF M-6 survival gun were 2.71 inches long, but loaded with 3/4 ounces of #6 shot. I recommend measuring your chamber to determine its actual length.

Greetings!

I have a very early Stevens Single Shot Shotgun, .410/12mm chamber.
Does anyone have reloading data (U.S. Powders) for these 2" shells?

Thanks and Be Well!

Admin reply: There is a little information under the "ALOOF, etc." button on the main page. That will take you to a menu of ALOOF articles. About midway down the page you will see "Pre-Historic 410s, The .44 shot Cartridges" plus "Shooting the .44 Shotgun."

There also is some information at http://www.fourten.org.uk/light.html

The CCI .44 shotshells will work and I have used a few in a good modern .410 shotgun. They are loaded to pressures that are compatible with the Stevens PROVIDED it is in a condition to be safe with factory two inch shells. However, if you try this, you must assume the risk of any harm, as I have not seen your gun and cannot judge its condition. You also can purchase just the shot capsules for reloading.

A few years ago there was a US importer named Accardi Importers, but I just looked for his website and it has disappeared. By googling "accardi importers," I found a link to Cheaper than Dirt which showed an address and phone number,
